1. Make more money
2. Make a lot more money
3. Find this damn thing
4. Complain some more about lack of manuals
5. Change the oil on the Vibe in 10 minutes or less
6. Keep this running another year

I can support all of this.

Yeah I still take long time on my changes because I’m so paranoid about doing something wrong, like a simple but costly mistake (not checking to see if the old filter gasket is still stuck to the car, for example).

One in my “area” for 10k... no. None in Portland, or Spokane, or up north. Have a look!

My New Year’s Resolution is to get a project car, specifically being an RX-7. After I got some advice here on not doing my daily as a project car, I decided to move away from wanting to build a Honda. It’s just I really want to get into rotaries so bad!

same here. I always start with a “just an oil change”, then I’m spending 15 minutes with a flashlight looking at stuff upside down.

What about that panicking feeling you get when the drain plug resists or the oil filter won’t budge? Love it!

Oh the drain plug always makes me panic.”Its not coming, why isn’t it loosening, son of a bitch why won’t you turn?”
Followed by “ that seems tight..... maybe another 15 deg..... ok just a few more.”
for filters I usually just get k&ns no problem twisting off.

I just get WIX. And since I change my own oil, I’m not some disgruntled employee at Squicky Lube that uses and impact or a filter wrench liberally — hand tight, and then a little extra. They come off fine. The problem is when the only hand I can reach under happens to be the one drenched in oil from draining, and it slips.
